Position: Civil / Solid Waste Engineering Drafting Technologist
Location: St. AlbertThe Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering / Solid Waste Engineering Drafting Technologist to join our growing team remotely from British Columbia or Alberta.Responsibilities
Produce accurate and detailed drawing sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related modeling programs.Analyze and create surfaces with spatial data (LiDAR, terrestrial scanner, and other survey formats).Prepare site grading, road, ditch alignment, and pond grading plans.Prepare and compare as-built plans with design drawings.Calculate earthwork volumes.Apply knowledge of layers, line types, and client-specific requirements.Produce civil engineering plans, which may include existing site plans, design plans, road profiles and cross sections, drafting of typical sections.About You and Your Qualifications
Post-secondary Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Drafting and Design.5-7 years of relevant experience in drafting and design.Proficiency with Civil 3D including surfaces, grading, feature lines, alignments and corridors.Familiar with land surveying principles and practices.Computer training in GIS and AutoCAD.Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of current and proposed engineering design and surveying standards.Critical and creative thinker with problem-solving abilities.Capable of working independently while collaborating in a team environment.Why Trace?
