Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Measurement Instrumentation Technologist in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be providing support to a team working on a wide variety of products and solutions. Products such as but not limited to Flow Meters (Coriolis, Ultrasonic, Mag and Vortex), Level Transmitters (Radar, Capacitance, Magnetic), PT/TT/DP, Remote Terminal Units (Fisher ROC and Bristol), Gas Chromatographs, Process Gas Analyzers, Oxygen Analyzers, pH, Conductivity Analyzers and much more.
Role and Responsibilities
• Perform evaluations, calibrations, and repairs on a variety of Measurement and Analytical products
• Support the production of new fit for purpose Measurement and Analytical products and solutions to our customers
• Quality assurance on new equipment including testing hardware and debugging new software
• Provide warranty and customer return evaluations
• Generate professional and detailed customer service reports outlining deficiencies and options
• Support internal and external customers with remote support tools and technologies
• Interface with internal and external customers in a professional manner
• Provide field service Commissioning, Demand and Planned support to customer on our Measurement and Analytical Products and Solutions
• Participation in our 24/7 on call rotation
Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma from a 2-year Instrumentation Technology program and/or Journeyman Instrument Certificate are required
• Previous instrumentation or electronics service experience an asset
• Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience would be valuable
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Willingness to learn many different instrumentation products and solutions
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Comprehensive computer background
• Entrepreneurial work ethic
• Must be able to distinguish colors
• Some lifting of instrumentation equipment (not heavy)
• Valid Alberta driver's license and willing to travel
