Position: High Angle Rescue Lead / Confined Space Rescuer Dual Role - Must be LOCAL to BONNYVILLE.
Location: BonnyvilleHigh Angle Rescue Technician
Total Safety Services is hiring High Angle Rescue/Confined Space Rescue Technician for shift work of 2 weeks on 1 off. 1 week of High Angle Rescue Lead, 1 week of Confined Space Rescue Technician. We are seeking candidates with direct work experience in the Oil and Gas industry and valid Rope Rescue training
. Candidates must be local to Bonnyville.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Perform high angle rescue stand-by;Assist in developing site-specific rescue plans and procedures;Perform on-site safety watch, confined space entry watch and atmospheric testing, spark/fire watch, and gas detection, as required;Provide support to ensure that all on-site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety;Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client's health and safety program, the Company's HSE program and all other applicable legislation;Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to influence safe behaviors and to create a safe working environment;Champion the Company's safety culture and safe work practices.Qualifications
Minimum 1+ year field safety experience;Minimum required safety tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, Confined Space Rescue and Fall Protection, Fire Watch;High Angle Rope Rescue or equivalent certification (Minimum 40 hour certification);Valid Driver's License and the ability to produce a clean drivers abstract;Must be willing to work outdoors, work an irregular schedule (including night shifts and weekends), and travel to various client sites;Capable of working with limited supervision and able to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
