Senior Power BI & Data Solutions AnalystDeliverablesLead the design, development, and optimization of advanced Power BI and Paginated reports with a focus on accuracy, usability, and performance. Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy
, working closely with data engineers and business analysts in the Microsoft Fabric environment.Consolidate and streamline overlapping report requests to reduce redundancy and improve reporting efficiency.Support guidance and adoption of Microsoft Fabric best practices in report building and data modelling to ensure efficient, maintainable solutions.Translate CRM data structures ( ERDs) into structured and scalable data products.Build and manage reusable certified data models using Microsoft Fabric tools, including Dataflows, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, etc.Provide Power BI self-service tools training to enable independent data exploration for business users.Conduct workshops and develop documentation to support data literacy and empower end users.Support the reporting team to act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, helping them understand and extract value from reporting solutions.Mandatory Qualifications+ years of experience with expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Paginated Reports (SSRS Report Builder).+ years strong experience in data modelling and architecture, particularly using Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows, and Data Lake solutions.+ years' experience in designing and implementing certified datasets and data governance frameworks.Preferred to hold one of following certificates:
Microsoft Certified:
Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-) and/or Microsoft Certified:
Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-).Preferred to have education degree in computer science, or mathematics, or statisticsProvide a summary of two projects where the proposed resource displayed knowledge and experience in end-to-end development of Power BI and Paginated reports, with a focus on data accuracy, usability, and performance optimization.Describe proposed resource's experience promoting and following internal development best practices and delivering user training to business functions. This should include an overview of the tools and training approaches they employ as well as any best practices around training and change management.Describe proposed resource's experience working with non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and translate complex requirements into effective data and reporting solutions, while identifying opportunities to streamline and consolidate reporting efforts.Describe proposed resource's experience using Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric for sustainable data product management, including knowledge of tools beyond Power BI reports, such as dataflows, pipelines, lakehouses, and warehouses, to support complex data solutions and provide informed, professional guidance.Location:Capital Boulevard, Edmonton, Alberta
