Our Saskatoon client has an Outstanding Opportunity for a Permanent Senior IT Security Specialist who is a well-rounded security generalist with deep hands-on technical expertise, and who thrives in a collaborative environment where both mentoring and execution are essential.
Must Have:
Minimum 10 years as an IT Security SpecialistExperience in cloud security configuration (GCP, Azure)Strong knowledge of security architecture principlesHands-on experience configuring and maintaining tools such as SIEM, PAM, SWG, CASB, EDR, and antimalware platformsNice-to-Have:
CISSP or other relevant security certificationsStrong communication skills with the ability to explain risks clearly.Generalist-level understanding of security concepts across multiple domains.Willingness to learn new technologies.Experience balancing operational and project work (approx. 50/50).Responsibilities:
Provide technical security expertise to IT projects and business projectsConduct security reviews of new applications (on-premises and cloud)Support governance and compliance activities (e.g., security baselines, change reviews)Maintain and enhance existing security tools and solutions.Implement new security technologies and process improvements.Review and approve security-related changes.Mentor junior and intermediate team members.You'll be taken care of:
