On behalf of our Education client, Procom is searching for an Intermediate Service Designer for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

Procom's client is seeking a creative and experienced Service Designer to enhance services supporting its research community. The focus is on improving research administrative processes without implementing new technology, ensuring a seamless service experience for researchers.

Intermediate Service Designer - Responsibilities:

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand stakeholder needs and challenges.

• Create service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows to identify and improve service experiences.

• Facilitate collaborative design workshops to generate innovative service concepts.

• Develop prototypes to test and refine service solutions with users.

• Translate user insights into actionable service requirements and support implementation.

• Define KPIs and metrics to evaluate service design interventions.

• Communicate research findings and design recommendations effectively.

• Collaborate with various teams to ensure integrated service improvement.

Intermediate Service Designer - Mandatory

Skills:



• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Service Designer.

• Experience with service design methodologies and tools.

• Ability to map complex systems and processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience facilitating collaborative workshops.

Intermediate Service Designer – Nice-to-Have

Skills:



• Direct experience in research administration services.

• Master's degree in a relevant field.

• Experience with in a university Research Office.

• Familiarity with the Canadian research funding landscape.

• Experience with change management principles.
