Reporting to the Supervisor, Millwright the Technician, Millwright is accountable for the general mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment assets in Nutrien, Redwater Nitrogen Operations in a safe, timely, cost effective and efficient manner.
This position is located approximately 40 km northeast of Edmonton at our
Redwater, Alberta, Canada site and is not available for remote work.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment, including single and multi-stage pumps, steam turbines, compressors, rotary drums and conveying systems. Work may include lubrication tasks, vibration analysis, rigging and laser alignments.
- Provide technical support and take on assignments, as required, to support the overall reliability of site systems and assets during regular and outage maintenance time frames.
- Troubleshoot process, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, and architectural drawings.
- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards and maintenance procedures are followed and updated accordingly, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain equipment history and documentation identifying opportunities for improvement.
- 5+ years’ experience in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of SAP, planning, and scheduling principles.
- Experience with vibration and lubrication principles is preferred.
