We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor join our Athabasca Oriented Strand Board (OSB) division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta. This state-of-the-art facility has the longest continuous press in North America
, giving us the ability to manufacture a broad range of innovative forest products for customers around the world.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
A Journeyman ticket, diploma/technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, or related field considered an asset.3-5 years of leadership experience preferably within a manufacturing environmentA good understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably JD Edwards).We value diversity at Tolko and know that experience and knowledge come in many forms. In this role you will:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices to ensure our mill is operating efficiently, consistently and safely.You apply your excellent work-ethic, communication, organizational and time management skills to lead by example, engage your team, plan the work and get things done.You apply your working knowledge of safety program development, implementation, and
legislation to ensure your team follows due process and goes home safely to their family each day.You use your troubleshooting skills to ensure smooth daily operations.You’ll support the planning, development and execution of an effective plant maintenance program

downtime analysis
, repair and preventative work
order development, allocation and scheduling of resources
