About the role
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Their background in electrical/mechanical assembly greatly aids the team and ensures fast and efficient resolution to any issues that may arise.
The successful candidate must be available to work the following shifts:
Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm and 2:45pm-11:15pm.
Responsibilities
Assemble and/or modify electronic parts and equipmentRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders or reportsEnsure proper soldering and installation of electric wiringTest and troubleshoot equipment, and correct any defectsSet up and operate hand and power toolsKeep track of material, tools and equipment, and inform supervisor of shortagesProperly and consistently document and follow established proceduresWear proper PPE at all times (must have own helmet and steel toe boots)Other duties as assignedQualifications
Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technologist, Electrical Engineer, or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshootingKnowledge of safe work practicesAttention to detailProficiency in written and spoken EnglishWorking Conditions
Hazards associated with working in a fabrication shop ( noise, machinery)Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
