Project Development Team Member Volunteer – Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada (BECC)

Organizational Overview

Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada is a national charity supporting the development of Biosphere Eco-Cities (BECs) in Ottawa, Toronto, Brampton, Edmonton, and Vancouver. BECC seeks passionate volunteers to transform ideas into impactful environmental and community projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Idea Generation & Research:
    Receive project ideas, conduct research, collect data to support concept development.
  • Project Proposal Development:
    Draft project concept notes, frameworks, and charters; develop detailed proposals, work plans, timelines; prepare logical frameworks and activity plans.
  • Coordination &

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with finance and fundraising teams to improve proposals; participate actively in project development and planning meetings.
  • Monitoring & Documentation:
    Maintain records of proposals, ideas, progress updates; support reporting and documentation of project development activities.
  • Research & Identify Opportunities:
    Find opportunities for new community and environmental projects; prepare concepts, proposals, and action plans with timelines and success indicators.
  • Implementation Support:
    Assist in planning and launching projects, setting clear goals and outcomes; track progress, provide updates, capture lessons for future initiatives.
