Summary

As a Shelter Box Canada Ambassador you provide the link between people who need support and those who want to give it.

Main Objective:
Raise awareness and funds for Shelter Box Canada.

• Build relationships with local organizations, community groups, schools and encourage them to support Shelter Box.
• Identify and develop potential fundraising and promotional opportunities within your community.
• Represent Shelter Box at local community events.
• Speak at events and give presentations to share Shelter Box's global work and ensure families are not left without shelter.
• Plan your own activities – creative events that raise funds and awareness.
• Activate during disasters to share urgent updates and help fundraise while media spotlight.

We are looking for volunteers who are good communicators, enjoy team work, are friendly and reliable, and have enthusiasm for spreading the word and rallying support.

Requirements (not mandatory – open to all, but share interest):

• Police background check (required).

Flexible – volunteers often do 2–3 hours a week at convenient times.

Support from onboarding, training, regular emails, webinars, deployment info, and contact by phone/email.
