Responsibilities for Airport Security Guard

• Manage access points to restricted areas of the airport, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for authorized personnel only.
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas within the airport premises.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols and procedures.
• Provide assistance and guidance to passengers and visitors regarding airport facilities, directions, and emergency procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas within the airport premises.
• Collaborate with airport staff, law enforcement agencies, and other security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications for Airport Security Guard

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security-related fields is preferred.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residence to obtain a Transportation Canada Security Clearance.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods.
