Position: Transport Planner (Dispatcher)
SUMMARY OF THE ROLEMammoet is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Operations team at the Edmonton branch. In this fast-paced role, you’ll support the planning and execution of personnel and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGResponsibilities (including but not limited to)
Plan and schedule personnel, equipment, and accommodations using internal systems and SAPCoordinate daily operations, including equipment, vehicle, operator, and crew assignmentsLiaise with field staff, clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure effective job planningReview and process timesheets, work orders, and reports in SAPMonitor equipment utilization and ensure compliance with labour agreements, certifications, and permitting requirementsPrepare required permits and documentation to support equipment movements and regulatory complianceSupport onboarding of new hires and ensure adherence to operational procedures and company standardsMaintain strong client relationships and contribute to operational problem-solvingWHAT YOU’LL NEEDJob Qualifications
Education/Experience
Completed courses in dispatch, logistics, or planning is an assetKnowledge of the transport industry is an asset.Dispatch experience is an assetComfortable with high pressure / short lead time 24 / 7 environment.Working knowledge of regulations in various districts, provinces, and statesWorking knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and hours of serviceIntermediate computer skillsCharacteristics
