Warehouse Associate

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Position Details:

• Compensation: $27.00/hour starting wage with a raise at 3 months and 1 year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the proper handling, put-away and storage of all incoming goods and transfer of product between warehouse and production and internal locations abiding by the GMP & guidelines related to allergens and general warehouse best practices.
• Responsible for the proper staging and issuing of ingredients, raw materials, and packaging to production, respecting FIFO and FEFO in accordance with the Bill of Materials, CFIA and Customer Requirements
• Responsible for accurate and timely inventory counting, cycle counting and reporting on shortages, potential shortages and/or damages.
• Responsible for the delivery of all raw materials requiring tempering to room(s) in advance.
• Actively participates in providing a safe and clean environment within the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper use, upkeep, and care of MHE equipment, warehouse docks, doors, racks and related, while working in the warehouse and the reporting of any incidents or issues
• Responsible for receiving proper training for their role, cross training, responsibilities, and tasks.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the overall warehouse
• Responsible for reporting all damaged products, evaluating the circumstances that caused the damage and aiding in the implementation of preventive / corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and reporting to QA.
• Responsible for the accuracy / verification of all warehouse material handled and paperwork generated.
• Ensures timely movement and delivery of quality food products for our customers.
• Maintains good employee relations throughout the facility. Provides feedback regarding responsibilities, tasks, and expectations via active one-on-one conversations.
• Maintains their work areas in accordance with departmental requirements, company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation, rules, and regulations.

Shift:

We are currently hiring 2 positions, both working full-time 10 hours shifts. The shifts are as follows:

• 5pm - 3:30am on Tuesday, 4pm - 2:30am Wednesday - Friday and eventually shifting to a Wednesday - Saturday schedule after training is complete.
• 4pm - 2:30am on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment an asset
• Experience operating a forklift, counterbalance or other machinery an asset.

Working Conditions:
