The Residential ICC Combo Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX. This position is responsible for performing residential building inspections for structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other applicable systems to verify compliance with ICC codes, local ordinances, and applicable standards. Day-to-day duties include reviewing construction plans, conducting field inspections at various stages of construction, documenting findings with clear reports, and communicating results and corrective actions to builders, contractors, and property owners.

The inspector will collaborate with project stakeholders to address code-related questions, maintain accurate records, and support pre-construction and remodel inspections as needed. The role also involves staying current with building codes and regulations and representing the company with professional, service-oriented conduct on job sites.

• ICC residential combination inspector certifications (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) and strong knowledge of residential building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
• Experience conducting field inspections for new construction, remodels, and tenant improvements, including plan review and documentation of code compliance.
• Ability to prepare clear, detailed inspection reports, interpret construction documents, and communicate technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment when identifying hazards, deficiencies, and corrective measures.
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills for working with contractors, homeowners, and municipal officials in a professional manner.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, mobile inspection tools, and digital recordkeeping systems.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to job sites in and around El Paso, TX, and ability to work safely in various field conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or coursework in construction, building inspection, or related fields preferred.
• Prior experience in building inspection, code enforcement, or residential construction is highly beneficial.
