About the Role

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to make a real impact in urgent care? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at Dr Gray’s Hospital, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of unscheduled care.

This newly created post is part of a strategic expansion funded by the Scottish Government to enhance the NHS Grampian Unscheduled Care Improvement Plan. You’ll be embedded within the multidisciplinary team across the Emergency Department (ED), Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU), and Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU), contributing to rapid assessments and facilitating safe, timely transitions through Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pathways.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead and contribute to complex patient assessments in a fast‑paced acute setting
  • Enable safe, risk‑managed discharges and reduce ED congestion
  • Collaborate closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals
  • Drive service development and evaluation, using evidence‑based practice
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as the service evolves
  • Receive professional support, supervision and mentoring from the Moray OT Team
