Overview

We’re now looking for new future stars to join our fantastic #Team Moray in Elgin as Support Practitioners on a part-time (20 or 25 hours per week), permanent basis.

At Cornerstone, the support we provide is centred around helping individuals identify and work towards their goals. We work with individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, needs and capabilities. You’ll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence, and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs. You’ll help people access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities, and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both at home and in the local community.

Responsibilities

Support individuals to identify and work towards their goals; help develop and implement personal plans; support home independence and daily living; encourage participation in social, health and wellbeing activities; enable access to leisure and community activities; maintain respectful, person-centred support.

About You

You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start. We’re more interested in who you are as a person. We’ll invest in you by providing paid training and we’ll fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.

Shift Patterns

Shift patterns involve early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers will form part of the rota on a rotational basis. The sleep portion of a sleepover is not included in contracted hours; you will receive an additional payment for £100.80 per sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and to work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.
