About the Role
Working on behalf of Enfield Council, We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Parent Support Advisor to work with families who require early help and targeted support. The purpose of this role is to provide a holistic assessment of family needs and to deliver single or multi-agency coordinated packages of support that improve outcomes for children and young people.
You will empower families to identify and address challenging behaviours, improve family relationships, and create positive pathways for change. A key focus of the role is to support families to increase school attendance, improve attainment, and reduce exclusions, ensuring children are supported to thrive both at home and in education.
Key Responsibilities As a Senior Parent Support Advisor, you will:
Work in partnership with families, offering listening, advice, and guidance to develop and enhance parenting skills
Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to a defined client group
Complete initial assessments using the Early Help Framework, identifying needs and making appropriate referrals to other services
Act as the Lead Professional, coordinating support through the Team Around the Family (TAF) and serving as a single point of contact where required
Work collaboratively with professionals across statutory and non-statutory services to ensure effective, joined-up support
Support families who do not meet the threshold for specialist services, helping to prevent escalation of need About You We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children, young people, and families, particularly within early help, family support, or parenting services
Is confident in completing assessments and managing cases using the Early Help Framework
Has strong multi-agency working and case coordination experience
Is skilled in delivering or supporting parenting programmes or interventions
Has excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Is resilient, empathetic, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for families
