Registered Manager – Residential Family Centre

đź’° Up to ÂŁ75,000 per year (depending on experience)

You’ll be leading a specialist Residential Family Centre built on trauma‑informed, relationship‑based practice. It’s a service created to help families find stability and confidence in a supportive, structured environment. The role

You’ll take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the centre, holding Ofsted registration and leading a reflective, capable team. You’ll guide operations, safeguarding, assessment quality and staff development, shaping a service that feels both high‑performing and human.

In practice, that means:
  • Leading the service in line with the Residential Family Centre Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing risk and embedding safe, thoughtful practice
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing a confident, skilled team
  • Overseeing family assessments, reports, placements and transitions
  • Working closely with local authorities, courts and partner professionals
  • Driving quality improvement and ensuring compliance without losing the relational core of the work
You’ll bring:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Solid management experience within a residential, assessment or family‑centred setting
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted’s frameworks and safeguarding expectations
  • Leadership that balances accountability with empathy and professional respect
  • Confidence to collaborate, influence and inspire a team around shared values
