About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team. This role is essential to keeping our café and kitchen running smoothly — ensuring everything is clean, stocked, and ready to go. Whether you’re looking for a few days a week or a full‑time rhythm, this position offers flexibility and a supportive environment. You’ll be working behind the scenes, helping the team deliver great service and a sparkling space for our guests.

• Dishwashing & Restocking:
  • Clean and dry all crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, chopping boards, and utensils
  • Return items swiftly to their designated areas in the café and kitchen
  • Prioritise high‑demand items (coffee cups, saucers, plates, cutlery) during peak times
• Café Support:
  • Keep café water bottles topped up and ensure glasses are available
  • Help clear and wipe down tables during busy periods
  • Take out food when needed — only if presentable and safe to do so
  • Help with food prep during periods of high demand
• Cleaning & Maintenance:
  • Maintain a tidy dishwasher area, including floors, walls, and storage
  • Clean kitchen fridges, freezers, worktops, touchpoints, and equipment at end of day
  • Empty kitchen bins as needed (shared responsibility with front‑of‑house team)
  • Ensure dishwasher has correct chemicals and is drained and switched off daily
  • Ensure the toilets are checked regularly throughout the day
  • Regularly wash & dry tea towels
• Operational Support:
  • Assist with unpacking deliveries during quiet times
  • Monitor and request cleaning supplies when running low
  • Report any equipment faults or issues promptly
• Professional Conduct:
  • Always wear apron while on duty (remove when using the toilet)
  • Keep your workstation clean and clutter‑free
  • Communicate clearly with the team and contribute to a positive working environment
