Who are we looking for?We need a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to work at client premises for holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise.

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- A valid SIA Front‑Line licence – essential.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel).
- Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular patrols and recording these as required.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
- Record the entry and exit of deliveries on site, including processing of paperwork in line with quality procedures.
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours provision if applicable.
- Complete documents such as daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records and other site‑specific reports.
- Familiarise yourself with assignment instructions, risk assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain training records via the Corps Colleague Portal, ensuring first aid and fire marshal training remain up to date.
- Continuously apply SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism; licence must always be displayed.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
