Import Coordinator – Air & Ocean Freight Erlanger, KY | 100% On-Site Permanent | Full-Time Air & Ocean Freight

A leading global freight forwarding business is looking to add an experienced Import Coordinator to its growing team in Erlanger, KY. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in international freight forwarding , particularly across Air and/or Ocean Imports , who is looking to join an established operation with long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

As an Import Coordinator, you will manage the day-to-day coordination of international import shipments, working closely with customers, overseas offices, carriers, customs brokers and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Air and/or Ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery
• Manage shipment documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading and arrival notices
• Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates
• Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers and trucking providers
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within Cargo Wise
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays or issues
• Ensure import documentation and processes comply with relevant regulations
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status
• Assist with billing, invoicing and shipment close-out
• Maintain accurate records and ensure a high level of customer service

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within freight forwarding / logistics
• Experience handling Air and/or Ocean Imports
• Cargo Wise experience is required
• Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a 100% office-based environment
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
