AssistantBuilding Surveyor - Salary & Benefits
- Salary £30,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
- Hybrid working with flexibility between office, site, and home
- Projects across London and Essex, office based in Billericay

You will join a friendly, growing team of Building Surveyors involved in a broad mix of professional and project work across sectors such as residential, commercial, education, and healthcare. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Building Surveyor with 1+ years of experience who is looking to work towards full chartered status (MRICS) with ongoing support and exposure to a wide variety of instructions.
Typicalresponsibilities include:
- Assisting with pre-acquisition surveys, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis
- Supporting project management and contract administration for refurbishment and maintenance schemes
- Preparing schedules of work and specifications
- Working on dilapidations, party wall matters, and planned maintenance programmes
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Undertaking site inspections across London and Essex
- Job Requirements
- Degree in Building Surveying or a closely related subject (RICS-accredited)
- 1+ years of relevant industry experience (consultancy or client-side)
- Enrolled on or intending to pursue the APC (full support provided)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work flexibly across sites, with occasional travel across London and Essex
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
