Contract: Permanent
Hours & ContractHours: Full-time (35 hours per week). The role includes a rota‑based on‑call element for evening and weekend social media monitoring.
Responsibilities- Create, edit, design, schedule and monitor social media content across existing and new platforms.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and cross‑functional creative, brand and media teams to produce channel‑appropriate content.
- Plan and schedule social campaigns, maintaining a solid understanding of audience needs and channel evolution.
- Manage community dialogue, responding to conversations and driving engagement with Scouts social media communities.
- Provide insights and recommendations on how to engage and influence target audiences.
- Experience working at pace in a fast‑moving social media environment.
- Excellent written communication skills with a talent for personality and brevity.
- Strong grasp of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Skill in filming and editing short‑form video (Reels, Tik Tok) on a mobile phone.
- Ability to interpret content challenges and devise appropriate responses with support from colleagues.
- Proven project management across multiple initiatives.
- 28 days holiday (up to 32 days after two years of service plus additional days at Christmas).
