As a Wastewater Treatment Technician, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our two wastewater treatment plants, playing a vital part in maintaining compliance, safety, and environmental standards. You’ll also support a variety of field-based activities across our network, contributing to the reliability of our services and helping us uphold our commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

*** Your responsibilities as a Wastewater Treatment Technician:**
* ** Operate and Maintain Treatment Plants:
** Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of two wastewater treatment plants through routine monitoring, inspections, and maintenance.
* ** Conduct Field-Based

Activities:

** Support network operations by performing meter readings, inspecting Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), and using CCTV equipment to identify and resolve sewer network issues.
* ** Manage Contractor Relationships:
** Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with environmental standards.
* ** Maintain Accurate Records and Systems:
** Keep detailed operational logs and update electronic databases with asset and customer information to support compliance and portfolio management.
* ** Support Fault Diagnosis and Remediation:
** Identify faults across the network, assess appropriate remedial actions, and liaise with contractors to implement temporary or permanent fixes.
** Experience / Knowledge:
*** Experience in wastewater treatment operations or similar utility fieldwork.
* Basic mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Familiarity with sewer networks and drainage systems.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
