Role – Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary per annum (dependent on experience please advise)

Type – Permanent

Location – Essex

My client design and manufacture a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

• Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
• Be proficient with using Solid Works CAD software ideally
• Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within the manufacturing sector
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential

• Working within the existing design engineering team
• Producing solid models and drawings using Solid Works CAD software
• Creating the necessary documentation for the designs including BOMs
• Carrying out engineering calculations when required
• Liaising with other colleagues
• Offering technical assistance when needed to customers and suppliers
