Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS trust in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week for an initial period of 3 weeks.

Pay:
Competitive, to be discussed upon application. Start date is ASAP until the 12 August 2024.

The Occupational Therapist in the post will be working within a hospital, providing specialist assessment and treatment to patients with a range of moderate to complex needs. In this role, you will assess, implement, and develop an OT treatment programme according to our patient’s diagnosis and identified needs.

• Care-coordinating
• Attending MDT meetings
• Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental well‑being needs.
• Assessment and intervention of individual patients’ needs and progress.
• Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
• Working with other healthcare professionals

• A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
• They need to have experience of working in mental health due to the complex nature of the patients.
• An understanding of Occupational Therapy process / interventions and can take a “hands on” approach
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills
• Ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentation
• Post registration experience in rehabilitation and condition management
• UK NHS experience
