IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support)

Location:

Warley (with travel to other sites as required)

Salary: £27,500 per annum

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Pin Point Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for an experienced IT Support Technician to join their team. This role will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint hardware.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, technically capable and able to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently to keep systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, configure and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments

* Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support via the Service Desk

* Support users in both physical and VMWare virtual environments

* Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software for desktop and mobile devices

* Ensure communication systems deliver seamless service, resolving incidents promptly

* Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange accounts and access permissions

* Maintain secure file storage access and data protection

* Support enterprise messaging (Microsoft Exchange) and unified communications (Mitel)

* Travel to other UK sites as required and provide remote support

* Adhere to ISO standards, security policies and Health & Safety compliance

* Positively represent the business to staff, suppliers and customers

Skills & Experience Required

* Experience providing 1st & 2nd line IT support

* Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory & Exchange

* Understanding of VMWare environments

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and customer service capability

* Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)
