Application Support Analyst Onsite

My client is a leading UK specialist in residential property services, supporting millions of homeowners through regulated financial and legal processes. They have a growing technology team in Essex looking to hire an Application Support Analyst who still has the passion and energy for learning new things, enjoys solving problems, and wants a role that blends 1st/2nd Line Support, application support, and light data and scripting work.

This is primarily an Application Support role where you’ll handle everything from straightforward day‑to‑day tickets to more involved technical tasks. You’ll support internal applications, work with users, and take ownership of issues with a practical, hands‑on approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1st & 2nd Line Support across core business applications
• Handling everyday support tickets — including the occasional simple or “silly” request with patience and professionalism
• Moving and manipulating data between systems (e.g., getting data from System A to System
  
  B)
• Supporting and maintaining internal tools and applications
• Working with Power Shell
  , C#, or any scripting language (flexible depending on your background)
• Helping automate processes using Power Automate
• Contributing to light development tasks where needed
• Working mostly onsite in Basildon alongside the wider IT team
• Exposure to M&A‑related work (nice to have, not essential)
• Experience with Business Central is great to have, but not essential.

We are seeking a candidate who brings enthusiasm and a strong interest in IT, enjoys learning, and can handle diverse support requests. Below are key qualifications:

• Strong interest and enthusiasm for IT — someone who still loves what they do
• Experience in App Support
  , 1st Line
  , or 2nd Line roles
• Ability to work with and move data between systems
• Some exposure to scripting (Power Shell, C#, Python, or similar)
• Good communication skills and the ability to deal with all types of support requests
• Any reporting, automation, or Business Central experience is a bonus
