We are expanding our on‑street charging capability and establishing a new function dedicated to the Independent Connection Provider (ICP) stage of EV charging delivery. We are looking for a Connections Manager to take full ownership of this workstream and act as our internal expert for underground electrical connections DNO / IDNO engagement and technical design. This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead a new technical area of the business operating end‑to‑end across design approvals, pricing, scheduling, delivery and quality assurance.
Whatyou will be doing
- Lead and manage the full ICP lifecycle for on‑street EV charging projects.
- Oversee underground cable routing design submissions and connections from DNO / IDNO networks to our charging infrastructure.
- Act as the main point of contact with DNOs / IDNOs driving approvals and resolving technical queries.
- Interpret and validate electrical designs ensuring compliance with NERS and DNO standards.
- Own ICP pricing quotation validation, cost forecasting and delivery performance.
- Manage multi‑site programmes accountable for schedule, cost, quality, safety and energisation readiness.
- Identify risks, manage constraints and sequence activity to maintain throughput and SLAs.
- Represent the ICP function in client, supplier and internal planning meetings.
- Drive quality assurance, accurate documentation and compliance across all ICP activities.
- Help shape processes, standards and best practice for this new function.
- Strong electrical project management experience within ICP DNO / IDNO EV charging or utilities.
- Solid understanding of LV underground connections DNO processes and network standards.
- Ability to read and produce electrical designs and technical documentation.
- Proven experience owning pricing forecasting budgets and delivery outputs.
- Confident dealing with clients, suppliers and senior technical stakeholders.
- Experience in or exposure to NERS environments (highly desirable).
- A proactive self‑starter who can build and lead a new technical delivery function.
