Job description
Hire Art is helping our client hire hands-on Automotive & Robotics Technicians to support the build, maintenance, and operation of robotic platforms and modified vehicles. In this role, you will have a blend of mechanical, electrical, and field support work.
Ideal candidates have
hands-on experience in automotive or robotics-related fields and are skilled in using diagnostic tools, reading technical diagrams, and working with electrical systems and components. You enjoy working on real-world systems in a fast-moving, technical environment.
As an Automotive & Robotics Technician, you'll:Install and integrate sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, and other custom hardware.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robotic systems and vehicle platforms.Perform preventative maintenance, retrofits, and hardware updates as needed.Support field deployments by providing on-site service, troubleshooting, and hardware swaps.Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support testing and prototyping.Maintain tools, inventory, and clear documentation of repairs and procedures.Requirements
Experience in automotive service, automotive retrofit, robotics, or a similar technical fieldProficient with mechanical and electrical tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read and follow mechanical drawings and wiring diagramsComfortable working with AC/DC systems, connectors, and electronic modulesValid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as neededAble to lift up to 50 lbs and work in field environmentsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetTeam player with strong communication skills and adaptabilityNice to Have:Experience with electric vehicles, autonomous systems, or sensor installationSoldering, crimping, or basic prototyping skillsBenefits:Pre-tax commuter benefitsEmployer (Hire Art) Subsidized Healthcare BenefitsFlexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costsHire Art covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance401k packageCommitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art.
