In this role, you’ll develop and implement in-line and end-of-line quality checks, perform root-cause analysis for production issues, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in quality, engineering, supply chain, and software to maintain high standards throughout the production process.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver with deep experience in manufacturing quality systems, a strong understanding of automotive standards, and the ability to work independently to improve processes and resolve complex issues.

As a Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Develop and integrate quality and functional checks into manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for assembly-related and EOL issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and optimize PFMEAs, control plans, and EOL processes.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve supplier- or design-related quality concerns.
  • Support quality policy development and ensure compliance with standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9000.
  • Create and maintain documentation to align with quality system requirements.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering
  • Proven experience creating and managing FMEAs, control plans, and APQP processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Preferred
  • Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
  • Process improvement certifications (Lean Six Sigma or Shainin)
  • Experience with CATIA V5/V6
  • Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (Hire Art) subsidized healthcare benefits (Eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • Hire Art covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package
  • Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It will be available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
