As a top-tier Canadian manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions, we are seeking dedicated Extrusion Operators with Plastic Extrusion and Blown Film Extrusion experience to help drive our continued success.
This role plays a critical part in meeting production goals by operating and maintaining extrusion machinery while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.

Work Schedule:

• Rotating Continental

Shift:
o 2 weeks days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
o 2 weeks nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to meet production and quality standards.

• Set up and maintain Plastic and Blown Film Extrusion equipment—this experience is essential for consideration.

• Complete machine setups for production runs, including loading raw materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating machinery.

• Monitor the production process and inspect materials to ensure output meets quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Track and document materials for inventory and compliance.

• Train and guide machine assistants and new operators as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and production area in line with 5S and safety standards.

• Follow all safety protocols and always use appropriate PPE.

• Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and quality control teams to address production issues promptly.

• Complete accurate documentation for internal records and external audits.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications,

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proven experience in both Plastic Extrusion and Blown Film Extrusion.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Effective time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.

• Proactive problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
