Clark Wood is working with a growing firm of accountants in Exeter who are looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to their expanding team.

As an Accounts Manager, you will join an experienced group of accounting professionals and work with a varied client portfolio, delivering a comprehensive range of services.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior members of the accounts team.

The firm is located on the east side of Exeter, offering ample on‑site parking.

• Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering services such as annual accounts, self‑assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and other specialist areas.
• Dealing with day‑to‑day client queries and supporting their business growth and compliance needs.
• Supervising and developing Accounts Assistants, providing ongoing guidance and training.
• Building and maintaining strong, long‑term client relationships.
• Offering proactive advice on accounting and tax planning.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of solutions aligned with client goals.
• Preparing regular updates and reports for clients and internal management.
• Reviewing work completed by team members and clearly communicating financial performance and obligations to clients.
• Overseeing clients’ management accounts, identifying variances, and highlighting planning opportunities.
