Stores & Procurement Coordinator - Exeter (Outskirts) £14.00 per hour, Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
Temporary role

Butler Rose are delighted to be supporting our client, a well‑established business based in the Clyst St Mary area, in the recruitment of a Stores & Procurement Coordinator
. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward‑thinking company in a role that directly contributes to the smooth running of their operations and excellent customer service delivery.

The Role

You will play a key part in ensuring the effective storage and distribution of equipment and services to maximise both efficiency and service levels. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, requiring a strong eye for detail, the ability to manage your own workload, and confidence when liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving, booking in and organising deliveries (Goods In)
  • Order processing, expediting and chasing where required
  • Coordinating logistics and deliveries across multiple sites
  • Stock control and participation in processing returns
  • Maintaining accurate systems, records and data
  • Communicating progress and updates with staff across different locations
  • Ensuring the warehouse is clean, tidy and well organised
  • Disposing of waste correctly and safely
  • Following ISO 9001:2008 requirements for procurement and stores
  • Identifying and reporting improvements to enhance day‑to‑day operations
About You

The successful candidate will bring a proactive, methodical and organised approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. You'll be confident communicating with colleagues at all levels, from office staff to field engineers, and committed to accuracy in both documentation and IT systems.

Key skills and experience include:
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve errors quickly
  • Ability to use IT‑based systems confidently (Excel in particular)
  • Initiative, flexibility, and a solutions‑focused mindset
