Sphere Solutions are partnering with a respected construction contractor, delivering projects across the SW. The business delivers a diverse range of regeneration schemes, new build affordable housing, and commercial developments.
Due to continued growth, they are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Exeter office.

Responsibilities:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial function across multiple projects, ensuring robust financial management and successful project delivery. Key duties include:
* Managing the commercial performance of construction projects from inception to completion.
* Preparing and analysing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
* Procurement of subcontractors, materials, and services.
* Managing subcontract orders, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
* Conducting site visits and collaborating closely with operational teams.
* Preparing monthly CVRs, reporting, and cost/value reconciliations.
* Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual, financial, and quality expectations.
* Building strong working relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams.
* Supporting commercial risk management and ensuring contract compliance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience working as a QS within the construction industry.
* Strong commercial and financial management skills.
* Experience working across a range of project types (housing, regeneration, commercial).
* Good understanding of construction processes and contract frameworks.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential).
