Quantity Surveyor

Abatec are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor, to join our client, a leading Civil Engineering Contractor with a company turnover of £200 million, to work on AMP8 of the South West Water Framework, which will deliver upgrades to clean water assets, including treatment sites, pumping stations and reservoirs, during Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) and beyond.

Reporting in to a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will join a growing commercial team and be expected to take responsibility for several key accounts on capital works projects. You will be based in Exeter with the flexibility of hybrid working.

As Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Be responsible for applications, valuations / cost value reconciliation.

* Be involved with Cost control and forecasting. Preparing and feeding information for monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow.

* Take responsibility for supply chain management.

* Assist with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution.

Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:

* A degree (or similar qualification) in Quantity Surveying.

* Have experience working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor, ideally within the Water sector.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes.

* A good working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.

Salary and benefits include:

 * £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

* Company car or £5,500 car allowance

* Hybrid working

* 25 days annual (plus Bank Holidays)

* Option to buy a further 5-day annual leave
