AboutThe Role
The role will provide you with opportunities to train, grow and progress in a direction that suits your own particular skillset and interests. You will work on live projects with the support of a large multidisciplinary design team.
What You’ll Do- Evaluate process engineering design, including process calculations, mass/energy balances, process flow diagrams and input to control philosophies.
- Be involved in the Early Contract (EC) to challenge proposals on efficient and sustainable engineering solutions, meeting the requirements of the project scope.
- Proactively engage with the supply chain and produce technical specifications for procuring proprietary process equipment whilst providing process support to the team and wider business.
- Assist with onsite commissioning / handover and develop the commissioning sequences, planning and performance demonstrations.
- Work to the Company’s health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and complying with all guidance, procedures & processes.
- Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering (BEng) or, a post graduate qualification (MSc)
- Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members
- Good IT skills and familiarity with programmes such as Excel, Word, 3D Models and BIM
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing
- Methodical approach to problem solving

Mott Mac Donald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott Mac Donald. Mott Mac Donald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott Mac Donald. This role is employed by Mott Mac Donald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott Mac Donald and JN Bentley colleagues.
