Role Overview

They are seeking a motivated and talented Graduate Engineering Geologist to join the growing team in Exeter. As part of our engineering geology team, you will be involved in a variety of exciting projects, supporting the planning, execution, and analysis of ground investigations, as well as contributing to the design of geotechnical solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop their career in the engineering geology field and gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of site investigation programs and reports, including geotechnical and geological assessments.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including soil sampling, borehole logging, and geophysical testing.
  • Analyze laboratory results and prepare data interpretation for ground models.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and geologists to design and implement engineering solutions.
  • Support the preparation of technical proposals, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical and geological principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
  • Full UK driving licence (for site‑based work).
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a desire to develop professionally in the field of engineering geology.
