Position: Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Consultant - Infrastructure

Overview

We are looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Consultant to join our Infrastructure team in Exeter, as part of our 2026 Graduate Programme. The role offers a supportive environment with open collaboration, strong senior guidance and exposure to multidisciplinary projects across ground engineering and environmental impact assessment. Graduates will develop expertise in analysing geological data, delivering ground investigations, assessing foundations and slope stability, and designing remediation strategies.

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Consultant you will:

  • Analyse geological, geo-environmental and geotechnical data for ground projects.
  • Support delivery of ground investigations, Environmental Impact Assessments, foundation design and slope stability studies.
  • Conduct contaminated land risk assessments and develop remediation strategies.
  • Monitor fieldworks, design and report on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks and rock slope stabilization.
  • Utilise numerical analysis software and collaborate with multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Contaminated Land, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
  • Strong interest in the environmental/geotechnical field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptable to changing tasks and resilient to setbacks.
