Base pay rangeSalary: £27,204 rising to £29,859 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension
Location: Police HQ, Middlemoor, Exeter
Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
About the role:The primary responsibility of the Senior Firearms Licensing Administrator is to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of firearms licensing processes, maintaining full compliance with force policy, national legislation, and best practice standards.
Responsibilities- Support the administration within FELU ensuring any concerns around suitability or suspicions of potentially criminal activity are investigated and considered fully.
- Complete complex administrative processes in support of the provision of an effective licensing service including support of supervisors.
- Triage applicants and corresponding applications in terms of Threat, Harm and Risk by interrogation of force and National systems to identify areas of risk in line with Home Office Guidance, force/national policy.
- Review GP reports with applications to identify relevant medical conditions or risks as per Statutory Guidance and policies.
- Provide specialist advice and knowledge.
