We're seeking a highly qualified Senior Organisational Development (OD) Practitioner to join our People Directorate. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating impactful OD initiatives, ensuring all interventions adhere to established OD methodologies and professional standards. You will work within programme frameworks, aligning your activities with the Trust’s annual plan and overall strategy, while maintaining flexibility to accommodate emerging organisational needs.
As a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner, you will contribute significantly to advancing our EDI objectives, embedding principles of fairness, respect, and inclusion throughout your work. Your expertise and credibility will be essential in effectively partnering with and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- A credible OD professional, educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), with Grad CIPD (Level
7) or substantial evidence of continuing professional development. - Demonstrable commitment to advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a track record of embedding EDI principles into organisational development practice. Experience using people data to identify disparities, drive improvement, and measure the impact of EDI initiatives.
- Demonstrable ability to apply OD theory and methodology to real‑world challenges, with excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
- Lead and deliver OD programmes that drive cultural transformation and organisational effectiveness, ensuring interventions are evidence‑based and aligned with the Trust’s strategic goals.
- Champion engagement by facilitating focus groups, listening to employee feedback, and ensuring the employee voice shapes OD initiatives.
- Take responsibility for assigned programmes, supporting operational delivery and embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) as a core principle in all aspects of your work.
- You will proactively champion EDI by seeking out, valuing, and amplifying diverse perspectives from colleagues, stakeholders, and service users.
- Your approach will ensure that OD interventions are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of our entire workforce, helping to create a culture where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.
- Provide expert, professional advice and guidance on OD methodology, supporting colleagues and managers to build capability and confidence in leading change.
- Analyse people data to inform, evaluate, and continuously improve OD interventions, making recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support the annual NHS staff survey campaign and quarterly Pulse Survey, assisting with increasing completion rates of surveys.
- Deputise for the Organisational Development Consultant and provide leadership to OD Associates and the People Analytics Associate.
