Silcom Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an established business based in Exeter. Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Vehicle Technician Supervisor to join a small, dedicated workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional and friendly environment, offering an excellent salary package based on experience.
Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician Supervisor:
* Complete scheduled vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines
* Undertake diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for customer vehicle issues
* Conduct electronic visual health checks (eHVC) and provide detailed reports with professional recommendations
* Liaise directly with customers and service advisors, delivering an exceptional standard of customer service
* Ensure all servicing and repair activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
* Oversee workshop operations, supporting and guiding technicians to maintain productivity and quality
* Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with evolving vehicle technologies and manufacturer requirements
Requirements:
* Qualified to Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time-served equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Proven experience in a technician or supervisory role, ideally with manufacturer background
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers
* Effective organisation and time management skills, with the ability to lead by example
