Aboutthe role
In this role you will be responsible for providing effective work planning, scheduling and contract management. This will include the planning and scheduling of work for the Meter Reading and Meter Maintenance Field Teams, as well as supporting the non‑household meter reading contracts. A key function of this role will be to support a multi‑skilled, proactive and flexible approach to the Work Planning team’s activities and additionally maintain field‑based performance metrics;
delivering end‑to‑end customer service to provide high quality customer care, in accordance with business priorities.
- Effective use of planning and scheduling systems to optimise productivity in the Metering Teams by identifying and issuing work based on centrally available information.
- Running reports for Company performance reporting, board report and performance management; ensuring outputs are supplied to the optimum quality and timescale.
- Admin support of the contractual measures and business systems.
- Liaise with partners and other business areas to resolve queries and respond within agreed timescales to complement resolution.
- Support all Metering Teams in delivering high levels of customer and technical service to meet business objectives and drive continued improvement.
- Work to proactively reduce and prevent Long Unread Meters.
- Be responsible for identifying and mitigating areas of risk to performance with continuous recording of daily risks and liaison with team managers to allocate resources accordingly across depot areas.
- Confident ability in using Excel.
- Good general standard of education with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Resilience and ability to stay calm when under pressure.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
