CNC Machinist

Position: CNC Machinist (Permanent)
Recruitment Solutions are working with a successful and expanding company looking to add a new production team to their operation. We are seeking 4 CNC Machine Operators or CNC Machine Setters.
The company create an exceptionally innovative product that is taking the interior architecture market by storm. They have doubled in size over the past year and are looking to do that again in 2026.
Role
We are looking for skilled CNC Digital Cutter Operators to set up, run, and maintain a Zünd (or similar) flatbed cutting system to process PET felt and other soft architectural acoustic materials. You will transform digital cut files into precise, high-quality components, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency while minimising waste.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate and maintain Zünd or similar CNC digital cutting equipment.

* Prepare materials, calibrate tools, and ensure accurate cutting to specification.

* Import and manage cut files (DXF, AI, PDF), optimise nesting, and minimise waste.

* Perform quality checks and maintain production records.

* Conduct routine maintenance and adhere to health and safety standards.

* Collaborate with production and design teams to meet deadlines and quality targets.
Experience
To be considered for the CNC Machine Operator position you must have the following:

* Experience operating Zünd or similar CNC cutting systems.

* Ability to read technical drawings and manage digital cut files.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

* Health & Safety awareness and ability to follow SOPs.

* Familiarity with Zünd Cut Centre (ZCC) or comparable CAM software.

* Knowledge of Lean/5S principles.
Shift Details

* Standard

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

* Integration Period:
Initial 6-week day shift shadowing (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) for onboarding and training.

* Training:
Off-site training offered for the right candidate to develop advanced Zünd skills.
These positions are offered on either a permanent or temporary to permanent basis. The salary will be dependent on experience but is in the region of £29,000
