Overview
We are Westmorland Family, a local food provider with a self‑produced Kitchen in Rheged, Penrith. We focus on high‑quality, large‑batch production from fresh local ingredients, ensuring great taste and consistency across all our businesses.
Responsibilities- Assist in all areas of food production in line with company standards and recipe specifications.
- Support packaging and labeling tasks as required.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including pot washing and general surface hygiene.
- Collaborate with the Stock Controller on receiving, checking, storing deliveries, and effective stock rotation.
- Adhere to our straight‑shift schedule, working primarily during the day with flexibility to support work/life balance.
- Previous food production experience desirable; we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable with food handling and preparation, long periods of standing, lifting, and carrying, and cleaning duties.
- Strong teamwork skills; willing to take on additional tasks when needed.
- Excellent communication skills essential.
