Charity Fundraiser role at The Fundraising Partnership
OverviewWe offer a worthwhile job that prioritises work‑life balance. You will be a face‑to‑face fundraiser for Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW), collecting small, regular donations through the Charities Hospice South West Lottery programme. Your main aim is to receive conversations with local households and invite people to become regular supporters.

- 80% of the staff work 3 or 4 days per week.
- Hours can be scheduled between 9:00‑17:00 Monday‑Friday and 10:00‑15:00 Saturday.
- Flexible schedules allow you to fit in family, friends, pets or medical appointments.
- Work is within 30 minutes of home; travel time is built into the contract and a travel allowance is paid.
- Full closures over Christmas and New Year (at least one week).
- Comprehensive remote training with ongoing support.
You will:
- Visit local households to explain CHSW’s mission and likely impact on families with life‑limiting conditions.
- Sell the idea of regular donations via the hospice lottery programme and secure commitments.
- Maintain a detailed log of visits and progress and report regularly.
- Represent CHSW with the highest ethical standards, ensuring you are a trustworthy and respectful field presence.
- Mobile and physically fit; required to travel within a short radius of a local base.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good listener and communicator; persuasiveness is useful but not essential.
- High integrity, self‑motivation and a commitment to doing the job correctly.
- Prior experience in sales, retail, financial services or charitable fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must have a car to travel within 30 minutes of home.
Full‑time and part‑time options are available. This is a salaried role enhanced with a commission structure. OTE ranges between £30‑40k per annum, plus a travel allowance and full training.
