Find a rota pattern that suits you.

We are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Otter Vets. You will be completing 1st opinion work to include small animal consults and surgical caseload, which may include elements of sole charge. There is opportunity available for mentoring junior colleagues. Flexible shifts that work for you are available; we are happy to consider part‑time applicants and will look at a rota that works for you.

Typically, our full‑time Vets work 10 hours across 4 days per week with 1:4 Saturday mornings. Work/life balance is important to us, and we are excited to offer a shift pattern that fits around you.

Our practice has an established history of over 70 years, providing veterinary care to our local clients. We have two branches, one based in the Jurassic coastal town of Sidmouth and the other in the nearby market town of Ottery St Mary, Devon. The team takes part in a variety of charity events, including running a fun dog show, coffee mornings and Christmas stalls.

You will join a supportive team of veterinary, nursing and administrative colleagues who work across both sites.
