Shop Manager Exmouth – The Children's Society

Permanent position. 37 hours per week, over 7 days, including Saturdays and Sundays. Salary: £25,760 per annum.

Location:

Exmouth.

Benefits: 28 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, and a stakeholder pension scheme with matching contributions up to 8%.

• Lead the Exmouth shop team, managing an Assistant Shop Manager and a diverse team of volunteers.
• Maximise sales and net contribution from donated goods.
• Drive revenue and ensure the shop operates profitably.
• Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, supporters and the local community.
• Create a welcoming and positive experience for all participants.
• Build and maintain support for the shop within the local community.

• Hands‑on experience in retail and/or management.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Leadership ability, confidence working with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Drive and focus on achieving sales targets.
