Personal Assistant for Lady 5 hours per week @ £12.38 per hour in NR21 tom

I am looking for a kind, understanding err reliable Personal Assistant to help a 30‑year‑old woman living with an energy‑limiting chronic illness, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Autism (ASD) and other conditions. The role is to help build and maintain gentle, energy‑saving routines, prevent symptom flares, and support safe access to the community to reduce isolation.

Job Description

Supporting pacing with regular rest periods

Help with simple meal preparation and light household tasks

Support with community activities, shopping, and appointments

Encouragement to re‑engage with enjoyable activities (e.g., baking, short dog walks)

Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance general wellbeing

Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person specification

• Holds a full UK driving licence with appropriate business insurance
• Access to own vehicle and willingness logement etc? to use it for a return trip to and from Fankenham each week
• Comfortable around dogs
• Someone with patience, compassion, reliability and a positive attitude
• Confidentiality required (total respect for privacy)

Desirable

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate individual needs
• Understanding of ASD, FND, ME/CFS or other chronic illnesses

Summary of terms and conditions

The pay rate for this position is £12.38 per hour for employed PAs and £14.94 per hour for self‑employed PAs. Additional payment: £8.28 per week to cover transport cost for a return trip to and from Fakenham, once a week. Hours and times of work: 5 hours per week. Time discussed further  annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to Ŝ work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

The post is subject to the following:

• Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
• Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer
• Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
